180 bucka a spark plug??
Could this be true.

At Midas R180 a spark plug for my 2004 3.8 V6???

How frequently should these be replaced?? hope not every 30 000km
Re: 180 bucka a spark plug??
Those are platinum tipped plugs, that should be good for 90000 to 100000 km, provided you uses unleaded fuel.

Well that's a relief.

I just phoned Mitsu they quote R45 a spark plug. I presume this is the normal ones we all know and love???
Will they also work or should I rather fit the cough R180 cough platinum ones cough cough....
Re: 180 bucka a spark plug??
I don't know your motor that well, but I think changing the plugs on your 3.8 is a bit of a mission due to accesibility. I think yours has the variable intake system, so the intake manifold has to come off to access the plugs. Perhaps you should first have a good look at what has to come off to access the plugs and then decide whether you would want to do that more regularly than at 90000 km intervals.

Every 90 000km works for me. Did the plugs on my 3.5 and also had to take the manifold of there. A lot of work, but that complicated.

so yes, R180 a plug here we come.
