Blister fender loosing water
Bought my 3.5 petrol in Febr and while driving it back she overheated . I stopped and found the waterbottle empty.Had the gasket replaced and everything was fine.I the noticed that the car uses water and I regularly have to top up.Did a pressure test(twice) and also cleaned the radiator.Yesterday I did a lot of heavy traffic in Cape Town and upon checking the water level this morning found the waterbottle empty.Had to fill the radiator up with about 1 ltre of water.i am sure this is why the prev owner sold.
I am forever stopping to check the water and is stressfull.Any advice or anybody who had a similar problem?

Check your engine oil is not foamy or caramel, if it is then that's where the water is going, Either cracked head or blown head gasket.
If the oil is fine and you can't find where the water is going it could be the water pump or the valley pipe (it runs from the back of the water pump under the inlet manifold to the rear of the engine). The water will be evaporating away from the engine heat.
Unfortunately you won't know for sure until you pull it apart.
This and timing belt is probably the main reasons why people sell them.
It can be, but not always, time consuming and expensive to repair.

Hi,
If there is now water in the oil, try to blank of your heater pipe and override the heater box. There can be a very small leak in a pipe that go unnoticed behind the dash. I had this problem in a LR Defender.
