Re: '14 Pajero Sport Overheated
I haven't heard of a single successful rebuild on the 3.2.

Insist on a new

engine
diesel pump
injectors
radiator
fans
Re: '14 Pajero Sport Overheated
Another update:
Spoke to service manager and according to him they will replace complete engine - apparently some miscommunication between him and receptionist that phoned me earlier.

Apparently they have ruled that the previous block replacement done by another dealer prior to me buying the car never torqued the head properly. I don't know if they are taking chances to get other dealership to pay, but I am happy that I'm getting new engine.
Now just to check that they actually give me a new engine!

Go write down the engine no.

Sorry guys, its the new facelift version with the 2.5 4D56 engine if I have it correctly - Fixed thread title I think
Awaiting feedback from dealer when the engine will be delivered.
Will then ask them to view the engine, out of its crate just before installation and hopefully ensure that way that I get complete new engine installed.
After this, will try push them for new warrantee and service plan on the engine only, it is after all a new engine, but that may be pushing it, but worth the try
Re: '14 Pajero Sport Overheated 2.5 Di-DC HP (4D56)
Good luck, sir. That's an unfortunate situation!
