Hi guys and girls. Has anyone ever deleted the cat on one of these, and does it produce a significant power increase?
I deleted the Cat in my previous Gen3 (@+- 170k km) and now my Gen4 (@+-110k km). On both counts the Cat was clean and once removed the performance improvement was negligible.
Why may I ask are you looking at removing the Cat.

I recently removed my cats on my SWB 3,2 and can confirm that in day to day running you don't see much improvement if any, but once I hooked my caravan the difference was obvious. I got much better consumption and the 3,2 diesel motor did not even realize there was a 1,5 ton caravan behind it. I continually had to relax the throttle as it was speeding up effortlessly.
On a trip down to Durban 2 weeks ago I got 11,3 km/l but the return trip was slightly less on 10,5 km/l.
