Good day
My Pajero started jerking on highway, espessially on uphills when I have to accelerate a bit. 250 000km's on clock. In town it's fine, only once it feel like cutting out when I accelerated fast. The fist time I felt it was when I was towing Jet ski and had slight jerk as if you start running out of petrol, once on way from Midmar it felt like the car was cutting off, but when stopped it idled ok. Any advise before I start DIY? I do use, and I'm sad to say not very clean 25L containers to fill petrol due to the fact that we in the middle of nowhere. So guess I should start with petrol filter....
Thanks
Love my machine
I agree the fuel pump is / sounds like the most likely. However you should fit a new filter anyway so just to play it safe start with the filter and then move on to fuel pump.SWB99 wrote:Thanks, I think so too...just checking for some advise and tips.
On my student day's Mazda tree-to-tree I had a similar problem which turned out to be stuffed coil leads. Maybe check the engine idling in the dark and touch the plug leads with a screwdriver and see if there is excessive 'leakage" which might cause a misfire when under strain.

Long time diesel user but man I miss those petrol days. No pun intended.
