Hi my fellow pajero lovers, i have a 1999 pajero 3.5v6 dohc that i bought as a non runner. The guy i bought it fron bent some valves on one of the heads, dad it repaired by engineers and could not get it to start again. I bought the pajero from him as a project for me. He hade the coil packs in the wrong locations i swapped it around and stil wont start. Engine is cranking sound like it want to start but no luck. Sometimes it do take but only idle for a second or two then dies. I have spark and fuel but no start. Im thinking that the cam timing might be wrong and will have to check that but is there any way of knowing which cam goes where and what pully goes on what cam? Its a quad cam so he could have made a mistake when he assembked the heads. Do you guys know of a way i can find out if the cams and pulleys are in the rite location?
Hoping to hear from you soonest.
Best regards,
Nashief
