Dear all.
I recently took collection of my 1998 Pajero petrol 3.5 v6 after a "successful" engine rebuilt.
I have been driving the vehicle for about 8 days now, I am quite over the moon with the new power and sound of the motor.
I have people from Namibia and they occupy my garage. Meaning, my Pajero is parked outside in the cold. I start up the car to
Take my daughter to school this morning. I did not really idle the engine because we were late, but drove of slowly. I must say the outside conditions was extremely cold, the wet on the bonnet and hood looked like ice droplets.
Long story short. After going slow for a kilometer I picked up the rpm, the car gave a slight jerk before picking up the pace. Another kilometer further, the same thing happen. This time the engine management light pop on.
I drove slowly for another 500 meters stopped in front of the school and switch the ignition off.
I sat in the car for bout 10 seconds and restart. The engine management light off. Drove off and proceed at normal speed no jerk no engine light.
Can this be due to the ver cold temperature?
Can anyone give me a bit of advice on my problem please?
Thanking you in advance.
Regards.

Dear all.
This morning on my way to work ( weather not too cold ) my car did the same, almost like a flat spot. When I drive off from a stop street and the transmission change from 1st gear to 2nd gear, the motor go into a quick short flat spot/jerk. It happen twice this morning again, but after the engine is warm the ghost dissappear. I forgot to mention the car is automatic.
If anyone incurred such a problem with their petrol engine before. Please share what could be the problem?
Maybe I should bring this to the Technician attention who rebuilt the motor?
Thank you Guys.
Regards.
