My 3.2 Di D revs up on starting before returning to idling rpm, not so much when it is cold, but upto 2500 rpm for about 5 sec's when hot. However, if I switch on the ignition and wait about ten sec's before I crank, she starts normally, i.e. idling rpm straight away. Any ideas?
the only thing I can think of is that the ecu realises the glow plugs aren't fully warmed and sends some extra fuel to make sure the engine gets going.
