Just for future reference...
I have experience loss of power recently, and the problem was eventually diagnosed as a faulty MAF (mass air flow meter).
I had no error codes. Power loss was most severe just after start up, then improved somewhat after driving.
The MAF can be tested by measuring the resistance between the pins and using a hairdryer to change the temperature.
The dealers want about R11 000 for the part! That is crazy. Part number 1525A016.
I'm going to see what I can find via either 2nd hand or from overseas (Thailand perhaps, since the Denso factory is there). I see prices of around 50 to 80 pounds in the UK.
Anyone have a spare MAF lying around?
