I am still having a big challenge with getting the timing right on my 3.2 DID Gen 4. I don't know if I am confusing my self or am just reading things the wrong way around. In the workshop Manual the marks on the timing cover are shown to start a couple of degrees before the "0" mark and then go up to "10".
But when i look at the timing cover on my car, where there is a "0" mark in the manual, i find a "-10" and where there is the "10" Mark in the manual, its marked "0" on the cover.
The instructions for pump installation is to set piston 1 at TDC by aligning the notch on the crank pulley with the "0".
My problem is the "0" mark in the manual is "-10" on my crank cover . so if i follow the illustration in the manual, I will effectively be setting the timing at 10 deg BTDC according to the coverl.




Any comments are welcome. I am desperate.
