I've sort of been a lurker here for a while but now have good reason to request your assistance with an issue I'm having.
I've got a Pajero 4x4 1995 model, 3L V6 petrol injection.
In the past, on cold start, the engine would idle higher than normal operating revs until it reached operating temperature where it would drop down to normal rpm of about 1100. Unfortunately, this functionality recently stopped working and as a result my poor V6 tries to idle at operating temperature rpm without any assistance to get it warmed up.
I'm aware that it doesn't actually have a choke in the general sense of the idea thus if I'm not mistaken, I'm looking at something mechanical or electronic I presume...
If you could perhaps shoot some direction my way, I'd appreciate it greatly.
Ps. No issues with engine at all, drives like a sewing machine. Only problem is the cold start. I apologize in advance if this has maybe been asked before.
