Re: ABS pump
Yes agree if check windings. But looking at the comutator I carnt see any insulation. There should be a black insulation that you can see below the copper. If there is a short between the slots it wont run. It needs undercutting between the copper segments with a small saw blade. Then test 180 deg for circuit check next segment to ensure no short. Good luck

Re: ABS pump
Thanks Robnick@50, I followed MMC's input.

I took the external casing with the magnets from the stuffed motor and put that on my motor. Put it together and it worked!!

One thing I noticed between the two casings with the magnets:

The casing from the bought spare and my casing, the magnets that were re-epoxied onto the casing, the placing of the magnets does not match the magnets of the donor spare casing I got (original). Would this cause the motor to not perform 100%? As just with the casing change it seems to be 100%. They have the same gap, but are about 30 degrees out.

I noticed when I started it (using my old Accumulator, when I switched on the ignition, the motor ran for 35 to 40 seconds without stopping, but the accumulator sang like a bird when stopping (the issue I had that started this whole saga). I then swapped the accumulator out with the donor spare I bought from a friend, and now it runs for 8 sec, stops for half a second, then starts for 6 seconds then stops for half a second and then starts for about 8 seconds before turning off.

I assume my accumulator is singing like a bird, but works as expected, but the donor accumulator is starting to fail in a bigger way causing it to stop and start like that?

If you add the stops and starts, the time is as per MMC's notes on his repair.

So now I think I am looking for a new accumulator.
