I bought my Pajero new last year knowing full well that its going to be discontinued.
Its going to be my retirement vehicle but now I am having second thoughts - have I made a mistake ? should I have bought the Prado instead at 150K more ?
No, so stop worring and drive the damn thing. Reminds of the old saying, if my aunty wore combat boots, she'd be my uncle.
Parts will still be availabe after you and I have long left this planet. Besides how many times have Toyota won the Paris/Dakar ?
And I'm talking a few years ago when it was still the ultimate off road race. 1000 hp trucks overtaking the race cars, happy days indeed. Have a look on You Tube. Live long and prosper.
I found these kittens at the side of the road, should I keep them or take them to the SPCA ?. My sister says that the upkeep will be more expensive than the catfood, please advise ?.

Good advice Vendetta, but I sense the administrators are set to pounce on your litter. You could only be driving a 3.8!
I hope that this is the last time I read about Prados in the Pajero forum and, John, consider (I can't bring myself to give it a name) the LR 110/90 history.
Maybe the value of your Pajero will go UP, over time. There are plenty of people who appreciate this unique and incredibly well built vehicle.
Wishing you many safe and happy miles.

Thanks guys for boosting my morale and reaffirming my decision in buying the Pajero as the correct one.
I have a extremely wicked sense of humor, that sometimes goes waaayyyy over peoples heads.
V Maybe you need a LWB so you drive with your pets in a bit more comfort, ha ha.
Unfortunately, my "Madam" was 22 years old when she passed away, she went everywhere with me, and I'll not bother with another Yorkie till I retire.
The shortie has a surprising amount of room for all my camping gear, besides I'm normally on my own so I have more than enough room. The only thing on the front seat is one of those 6 pack cooler bags, but with biltong, fruit juice etc. A one and a half liter bottle of water next to the bag.

Hi John I'm also retired my Shogun ex UK 2002 3.5 LWB. I agree with other guys comments spares are available. I've imported from Japan as the Steelers said parts not available. I'm thinking of getting younger model as I'm getting older and weaker. Like you probably be my last 4x4 so I'm looking out for a good one. Good luck drive it enjoy it.
