Oil on turbo and intercooler pipes
Hi everyone

I am new to the forum and an aspiring Pajero owner :)

I recently found a Pajero that I would like to purchase...2012 3.2 Di-DC LWB Auto. I had an inspection done on the vehicle just to make sure there were no major issues.

They found that there was oil on the turbo and intercooler pipes and said that the turbo likely required replacement at some point. Does that sound about right ? Also, what is the approximate cost for the replacement of a turbo likely to be ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Noob
If you Google Pajero turbo failure you get very little results and a number of those are sensor issues.
If you search for high milage Pajeros you find many over 500k km with no issues.
I'm on 215k km an not planning on replacing turbo until 600k km

Hi everyone

Just thought I’d close the loop in this thread.

Took the vehicle in to Turboworks in Centurion and they found that the oil was due to a loose boost pipe clamp, problem fixed :)
