Good morning ,
I was told that I need to have the front left 'off centric bracket' of my Pajero (302k km, LWB, 2007, Gen 4 ) fixed. Apparently it has opened up and therefore the wheels can no longer be aligned properly.
I am not a mechanic. Please may I ask:
1) what does this bracket do (uh, what is it - can't find it on Dr Google)?
2) If it 'opens up', what effect will I experience on the road?
3) how serious is it? Does it have to be repaired asap and what could the consequences be of not doing it?
4) If I have one repaired, must I have both repaired (assuming there is one on the RHS as well)? Back?
5) I have been quoted 2 days and around R4500 to repair LHS (including balancing and alignment, not a dealer). Is this fair?
Any additional information in this regard would be highly appreciated, as I am still aiming for the 1mil km mark!
Thank you!
