Lesotho Snow
Some reports of snow in Lesotho has reached me and we will be going there this weekend to search for some.

Route will be from Fouriesburg in Freestate and then up the Moteng? pass in Lesotho on to Afriski resort for some warm coffee and fun on the slope. Most driving on tar, but could get slippery if we get some snowfalls.

Will I see anybody on the road or onh the airwaves?

Re: Lesotho Snow
Hey CATS,

Did you manage to get any snow this weekend? How was the trip?
Re: Lesotho Snow
Yip

We got some snow!! Not much to drive in though, but enough to entertain the kids and everyone else that have not experienced snow before. Saw a number of new Gen4 Pajero's at Afriski but did not run into any of the owners on the slopes.

Snow was less than hoped for but still a good outing with some friends. We had a blast and the kids really enjoyed it. Definately recommended. The border crossing at Caledonspoort was, as always, a breeze and we again for the 4 years in a row did not experience any of the 'reported' rock throwing that Lesotho became famous for some time ago.

Re: Lesotho Snow
It is always nice when things go according to plan! Sounds like you had a fantastic time!

Glad you got some snow, I have never driven in it before, so I will trying to organise something for next year up in Lesotho. Maybe through Sani Pass, and working my way up to Katsi Dam, Moteng Pass and out through Fouriesburg. Well, at least something to that effect!

Will let everyone know if that ever happens.
