Hello Community,

Yesterday I noticed my vehicle's rpm was inconsistent. This morning when I tried to start my vehicle, it will crank very long and idle in a very strange fashion, almost jerking. It is a 2004 Mitsubishi Gen 3 with just over 230k on the clock.

Can this be signs of a faulty fuel pump or timing chain?

had same issues at 262 000km ......changed dieselfilter and diesel supplier - now I only use Sasol diesel....whenever possible
