AIRFLOW METER
Has anyone had their Air Flow meter refurbished?
My mechanic swopped his with mine and informed me that his van's performed were drastically reduced with mine whereas his one was causing my Paj to perform exceptional. He recommends either a new (cost from the Stealers is not an option  ) or have it refurbished. Has anyone done this and if so where shall I go in Cape Town?

Re: AIRFLOW METER
Hi Blister, My ride is the 3.2 DID so I am not sure what type of air flow meter you have on yours.
It doesn't really matter if its a flap type or an air mass meter though, refurbishment at best is a short term option. A good technician should be able to measure the input and output voltage of the unit and measure the resisitance to correctly determine if there is in fact a problem with the unit. The problem with refurb on the flap type is that once the sealed lid is opened you generally will not be able to seal it properly again which compounds the problem. I guess its worth a try if your in for a new one anyway. You can do it yourself with some electrical cleaner available at most electronic component shops or PM me if you need further help.
