The 180000 km service is a major one and as such virtually everything was looked at.
Engine oil, AT gearbox oil, Transfer case oil, front and rear dif oil were all drained and refilled with the proper oils. Diesel and oil filters were replaced, the air filter was still new and was only blown clean as was the aircon filter. The back wiper was replaced and all the prescribed inspections were done.
Freek does his services according to the book and I do not think he will miss anything. I am also satisfied that the whole service only cost me R2200! The car was washed and was delivered as clean as a whistle.
Thanks again.
I would replace the belts because its not worth taking a chance, they are very cheap.Remember to replace your injectors on that kilos because most engin problems comes from injectors and dirty diesel. At first i put in recon injctors and was not succesful and then new injectors from mitsubishi for R7500.00.
The non common rail injectors are very long lasting.
Mine is on 286'000 and the dealer cleared them. They told me that they only start giving trouble at about 300'000km. But they have seen lots going past 400'000km without issues.
The most common problem is carbon buildup on the squirt holes.
I run 2-stroke oil in mine at 250ml/tank (and occasionally Mitsu's cleaner - https://www.pajeroclub.co.za/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2471)and the EGR is blanked off and this is what my injector tips look like.
