Re: Mitspro Service
OK - Feedback time

I visited Freek at Mitspro and showed them the post of the unhappy members. Freek decided that he would rather decline the offer to comment on the forum as he believe this will just lead to a 'he said, she said, mudslinging mess', which I respect. He gave me some back ground on the cases reported and as mentioned. He did however discuss the matters with me in confidentiality and with openess. I have no reason to doubt his comments, but it must be noted that this is as commented by him and not in any way my own, or that of the Pajero Owners Club, comments. The Owners club have no association with Mitspro in any way.

As was mentioned before all stories have two sides and I think the issue with the shavings in the tank(Nodger) might have a few sides which was not fully disclosed on the forum by the posting member. Freek indicated that there was not proper disclosure of some issues when he recieved the vehicle, and as such he only fixed the disclosed items. There was legal action on this whole issue and Freek actually won this matter and got paid his fees, but it is all sorted out.

Freek believe that his actions speak for themself and the fact that most members recommend his services tells the story sufficiently.

On the matter of Paw Paws vehicle. I listened to Freek side and he was willing to disclose some info. He also mentioned that they grew at a massive speed and for a service shop to be where they are now after only being open for a year and a half has taken its toll and that they really struggled to get good hard working hands to assist in the growth. They have however now got some good people and are confident that they are catching up on the backlog that caught them out at one stage. In the end it boils down to COMMUNICATION. I was fortunate enough to actually meet Paw Paw as he drove in as I drove out, and although he seems highly peeved he seems to be a reasonable guy that is very irritated as some promises regarding timelines was not kept and he was never informed or kept up to date. He always had to phone according to him! I acted a bit as mediator and encouraged both Freek and Paw Paw to agree that some things were not done as agreed and that they now need to look at the issue on hand and sort this out. I believe that if Freek just phoned Paw Paw and kept him abreast of the progress, even if there was none, that it could have been sorted. Freek now wants to tow the vehicle to his workshop to fit the engine as he says it is easier, where he indicated earlier that he will fit it at Paw Paw's premises. This is a contentious issue to Paw Paw as he has had some other work done on the vehicle as well. I hope they sort it out without going legal and making lawyers rich.

I urged Paw Paw to also try and adress the issue on hand and to keep the forum updated on the progress.

As with all things in life where humans are involved it is impossible to have everyone 100% happy all the time.

I don't think there is maliciousness intended by either party, it is just life happening and we must let it run its course as long as no one gets personal or blatantly derogatorry.

So far the overwhelming response from independent people using the services of Mitspro seem to be very positive.

Re: Mitspro Service
I always advise people who take their vehicle in for repairs to let the workshop diagnose and only then scrutinise and ask questions.

If you say do this and do that, and that doesn't fix the initial problem.....?

Hope this get resolved. I don't think there has been a bad fight on this forum and that's a true testament to caliber of people who post here. (If I recall correctly, Simon mentioned that the forum hardly needs moderating at all!)
Re: Mitspro Service
CATS, well done and thanks!

A very mature development of this thread... much more productive than just hurling insults back and forth.

Lets hope everything gets resolved in a way thats amicable for everyone.

Re: Mitspro Service
Hi All,
As mentioned by Cats my comments to him was I think the issue can be resolved maturaly and I discussed with Freek the same day and we came some agreement. The vehicle was actually fetched last night from my home to Mitspro premisses on their cost. I have posted all my complaints before and will not divulge on it again.
Much said and done and I posted a last thread which was incidently canned because of all the issues raised here and to prevent any mud slingining. As I said communication - proper - would have sufficed as enough for me . I would agree that maybe Mitspro overplayed their hand a bit in suggesting the option to remove and install the motor at my house but must mention my heads were removed and was incidently re-done by Mitspro themselves.
I appreciate Freek's effort to come and fetch the vehicle and now it is a matter of time before the vehicle is back.
I have no intention to degrade the company at all and it was merely a unstisfactory process up to now and would like to continue to make use of them in the future.
In my own defence matters are sorted and piece prevails.
Regards

Re: Mitspro Service
Following this thread it would seem as if the big concern here was poor communication and not so much poor workmanship, I could handle that better than having to take the vehicle back repeatedly to have the same problem taken care of. I am happy for Freek in the growth he had and hope he takes something positive from this comedy of errors.

paw_by_paw I hope that your troubles would soon be a thing of the past and the only paw by paw you do is walking the obstacle before doing it in your 4x4

Re: Mitspro Service
Thanks to CATS who, sort of, played the role of peacemaker and for posting the info. I have been to Mitspro only once and my personal opnion is that you will have to go far to meet and work with more enthusiatic people.

Keep up the good work, Freek!

Re: Mitspro Service
Now that everything seems sorted I will have my say. I have known Freek and son for almost 15 years as we raced saloons together.
He is a man of integrity and if you feel you have been screwed over by him, there must be a logical explanation for that. Not saying that he is perfect but I can assure you he will always try to give you his best. To qoute someone R8000 to travel to his house, remove an engine, take it to his shop, repair it, take it back to the clients house, install and still tune it, shows his commitment to his bussiness and his clients. Maybe that's why he is so flooded with work.
I know he had problems getting proper help but it seems sorted now.
I still take my car there and I recommend him to every Pajero owner that I meet.
And......I am in no way affiliated with Mitspro and this is not a free plug!
Cheers
