That's bad news! (The cracked head).

The overheating incident was obviously the cause.

Consider fitting a level switch, which will warn you of sudden coolant loss:

Hi JDV,
I did buy some spares from that scrapyard in Pretoria a while ago but it seems service is not a priority with these guys.I was looking for two front seats as my leather is worn badly on the drivers side and found a very good drivers seat but :x :x :x they refused to sell it me and said I must buy a set which I was prepared to do . I gave them my number to call me should they get a mate. About a month later I went there again for some other stuff and   there is the same seat baking in the sun getting rained on but once again refusal to sell   .
So I have my doubts about them now and body spares is nearly the same price as original ones.Especially internal stuff.

Just got the Pajero back yesterday and cost me almost R24 000-00. Found out yesterday that a 2nd hand engine from Jap Auto Traders in Jetpark is R13 500-00.

The wife phoned me this morning when she got to work, that after stopping at the robot or stop sign, the Pajero idle smoothly and then suddenly it feels if somebody hit you from behind and then it idles normally again. Now what can this be?

The problem was fixed and had also a diesel leak - lost between 4 and 5 liters per 100 kilometers.

All went well till the 21st of December when a stupid guy came from the front and turned right right infront of the wife and she hit him on the left front wheel - she had nowhere to go and he said he never saw the Pajero. People with epilepsy should not be driving! Wife fractured her pelvis and hurt her back - spend 6 days in hospital.

After two weeks of fighting they are going to repair the Pajero - everything infront of the engine fan will have to be replaced including the bonnet.

Eish.

A car can be written off and replaced but having your loved one hurt is not nice.

Hope she recovers fully and completely.
