Hi all,

thank you for the input! My problem is that the vehicle is perfect in Pretoria but does not idle below 200metres. Mitspro can find no faults as does Mitsubishi Hatfield. I have had it on all the Bosch machines as well with the same results. The moment you release the throtle the engine cuts out. Any ideas?

I have a similar issue on my 2003 3.2 DiD. Idles perfect in JHB but as soon as we hit 750m above sea level she dies with no throttle and low speed. Does not idle at all. Isolated to the lower vacuum diaphragm on intake manifold. Once that’s unplugged works perfect but with CEL light.

Can this be cleaned? Vacuum is sucking with decent strength. But the diaphragm may be blocked.

Run diagnostics with nothing really showing as a fault.

Also blanked of egr. Cleaned air temp sensor, cleaned lower and upper intake manifolds but problem persists.

Anyone got any ideas?

Just adjust so the throttle body is slightly wider open.

Do you think this will fix the issue? Only happens at low altitudes? Can it really be that easy?
