Hi All,

I have sent P2A an e-mail in the week, no response yet, I will give them a call on Monday and get all the details and update here. Would be good to do a bit of an outing and some catchup with old and new faces.

Cheers

Hi All,

Apologies for the late reply, Jannie was in Namibia and responded now. Unfortunately 9th June is full at current, he will send availability on the 15th May as there are a few other weekends available and will update here.

Kind Regards

Re: Passport 2 Adventure Mitsubishi Family days - Who is kee
Hi All,

The next available family day where there is space available with Passport to Adventure is on the 20th July for the Mitsibushi clan. I am still keen to join however the costs do appear a little steep IMHO. Below is a breakdown of what happens and what Jannie arranges on the day. I see their prices would work out to be over R500 for a car with 2 people  ..... SO who is interested in going to Hennops or De Wildt on the 9th of June instead to go and have some fun, do the course and a few obstacles do a braai and have a beer or 2 afterwards?

Please let me know who is keep for 9th June and if you prefer Hennops or De Wildt as a venue close by, and will arrange the rest.

Proposed plan:

Meet and greet at 09h30
Start route at 10h00
Get to braai area at 12h30-13h00
Those who want to do a few more obstacles and play can continue
Have a braai and and a few beers
Depart and keep the car full of mud for 4 weeks minimum

Here are details for the Passport 2 adventure Family day for those who are interested

The programme for the day is as follows:
10h00 Registration will take place at the Protea 4x4 Track & Boma in the Rhino & Lion Reserve.
Coffee, Tea and muffins will be available.
Once we receive your booking form we will send you a map to the venue.
The entrance fee per adult will be R100-00 and R80-00 per child (3-12 years) and those under 3 will be free, payable at the
Entrance gate of the reserve, present your confirmation form to the cashier.
A trail fee of R 350 per vehicle is payable in cash on registration at the 4x4 track
It will be a bring-and-braai family-day, so get those cooler boxes packed for this fun day. We will provide the fires.
Remember to bring your camera and cash along for the animal crèche where you can get your picture taken with lion & tiger
Cubs to mention just a few of the rare animals you will encounter here.
11h00 Depart on the Guided 4x4 trail through the Rhino & Lion Reserve in convoy. All vehicles will receive a two-way radio.
The Protea 4x4 Driver Training Facility – an eco-friendly obstacle course, simulating most of the off-road conditions found in Southern Africa will be your first experience for the day. It’s designed to put your off-road skills to the test whilst protecting the environment.
The trail/day are not a 4x4 challenge, it’s a family-day, designed to enjoy a day out in the bush with your family.
The Protea-team will have the braai fires ready on arrival at the Animal Crèche/Pool/Kiosk/Braai area, were you and the
Family can relax the afternoon. Enjoy all the wildlife (lion, tiger and cheetah cub’s to name few) at the crèche.
Plenty of fun stuff for the kids will also be available, pool, play area and plenty of fresh area.
The Protea-team will be available to assist you with any information on your vehicle: traction control, diff-lock, tyres etc.

If you are planning an off-road safari tour or want to start exploring the Great African Outdoors? Then you must speak to Jannieor Henk your hosts for the day to learn more about all the fantastic trips planned just for you.

18h00 End of another exciting Protea 4x4 Family-Day, we are looking forward to your next family-day with us.
