I would have someone look at this. The recent posts about similar problems being possibly caused by injectors rang alarm bells but I thought that at my fairly low milage this should not be a problem. ... Should I be getting the injectors replaced? Is there any other possible cause for the pinging?
If the vehicle is under warranty then take it to the dealer and put your concern in writing.
If it is not under warranty - why not give Haydn in Pietermaritzburg a call?
When I had my injectors replaced (with refurbished ones) and my pump checked last year I think it cost about R7k with a before and after dyno test. That was at Alan Black in Springs.
