I have a Frontrunner "Windcheeter".
Here it is on Allen's 3.8 V6 last month.. another nice thing about the clamp-on, your buddies can also use it if you don't

I have Front runner tracks with an Outback roof rack. I bought the rack from KurtG and had the tracks fitted at front runner.
Just for reference - because I struggled to find any info.
The African Outback/Big Country tracks have a groove of 25mm wide and the connectors are 24 mm x 5mm x 120mm with two bolts in each foot. They quoted R2200 for the tracks + R1500 Fitment = R3700
Front Runner tracks are 20mm and the connectors are 19mm x 5mm x 30mm - but you have 2 per foot. THey qouted R1200 for the tracks + R1000 for fitment = R2200
The outback feet does seem sturdier than the front runners - but I have never heard of any issues on the front runners.

I want to put a roof rack on my Pajero but I dont want to remove my OEM rails. I want a clamp on rack. Front runner say they don't make a clamp on but I have seen Pajero's with clamp-on's. Any ideas / suggestions ?

Hi @John293 - at the top of the page @Roelfleroux mentions that he uses a Frontrunner Windcheater. I don't see it on their webpage, but if the windcheater can/could work, there will be others too. Important is the comment prior to that - a clamp on will only work if you really limit the load....
My 2c but don't give up...Enjoy your Paj for all it's worth (which is a ton

- or three

)

Thanks NatureFan
I see the Paj manual says that 100kg is max load on the roof.
My plan is as follows:
The rack +/- 20kg
2 x Jerry cans 46kg
2 x SandTrax 6kg
1 x Spare Wheel 38kg
Total: 110Kg
I am sure that this will be within safe limits. The jerry cans will only be full when necessary anyway.
Regards

I finally found a roof rack that bolts onto the Pajero's OEM roof rails by EeziAwn. Fitted it with 2 x 20lt jerry can holders. 1 x spare tyre holder and a pair of sand track clamps - Max weight 110kg - 10kg over manufacturers spec when jerry cans are full. It will do the trick and free up boot space.

All I need now is an 18" wheel rim - anyone have one or know where I can find one ?
