I can vouch for the sturdiness of the Connect-It system.
I built a drawer for the DC Triton and will now fit it my Gen 4 Pajero.
I did not use sliders because of the loss of space. Instead using teflon strips.
The setup, with two camping tables, weighs very little. It takes 3 high top ammo boxes and some leftover space.
It will fit as is in the Pajero, rear seats folded, if I remove the rear door inner handle.

What fabric did you use to cover the outside of the drawers? Now that you have done the job - would that fabric still be your first choice?

Very interesting question Sweet and funny enough I can answer it now. I made drawer for a friend this weekend and I used a different carpeting. The one I prefer is the one I used this weekend. Pic one is the original fabric and pic two and three is the preferred “carpet” like material.

I'm also in the process of rebuilding my packing system. Has anyone perhaps have a detailed drawing of the Pajero SWB Gen 4 boot area?

Anyone have or found a drawing of the inside cargo-space area of a Gen 4 SWB Pajero please ?
I'm looking for such but without success yet.
Came across a similar question from Kurt back in 2021 already
