Thanks Wilddog
I highly recommend having it done by the dealer. If you make a mistake it can cost you the engine.

If you want to do it DIY, here is the procedure

Do you guys have part numbers for the oil pressure switch and top timing chain guide?

The dealer sent me a schematic drawing and asked me to indicate the parts required and I am not sure which ones they are.

Marius,

The numbers do not match according to his drawing. Could be the wrong drawing?

The numbers are PNC (Part name Code) numbers. The actual part numbers may vary based on year models, recalls and redesigns.

hence, if the PNC number is the same the actual part number may vary but it may be interchangeable (for instance the PNC will be the same for the front right shock on all gen3 pajeros but will have different Part numbers due to LWB/SWB/Petrol/Diesel variances)

These 2 images should explain

My Mitsu invoice gives part number ZL1140A026 and the packet just has 1140A026.

Interestingly the invoice part description reads "Guide, Timing Chain, UPR" while the packet reads "Side GU"

This information ties in with the images on http://140.99.20.180/forum/showthread.php?t=17446

Paj went for a 165000 service at Mitspro today
Been hearign a noise from the top of the enjin and asked Freek to check.

My guide was half the size it should be and teeth on the tentioner started to wear.

Tentioner and guide replaced and she sounds smooth again.
