Joseph..Have you maybe looked at the fuse box.maybe somehow you had a spike and blew a transmision fuse etc.Worth a look

Ok update from the imported car garage. They replaced the engine boost control sensor and the power is back. But the cel is there still. After some kms of running the Asc light with the vehicle skidding pic turns on too ...

When the Asc comes on there's a slight jerkiness in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear auto shifting....

I took the delivery of the car . Damn it's almost 4 months I was so desperate to drive it so took the car out as soon as they said power is back

Ok the issue got diagnosed finally the garage guys replaced it with some other cars boost pressure sensor it seems. I replaced it with another pajeros sensor and all jerking and fault codes gone and full power is back ImageImage

However I will need to replace the barometric/maf sensor also. No warning on the dashboard though but there's a fault code

This is the sensor which the garage put u can see they looped the wire connecting another socket which fits into it. Any idea which cars boost sensor is it?

No idea unfortunately on the model vehicle it came from but very glad you seem to have traced the fault.

Cant you get one from Mitsu? If not closer to you, how long will it take a courier to reach you from here in South Africa. It seems small enough to make freight cost reasonable?

PS have you tried cleaning your sensor? I seem to recall somewhere some success with cleaning that sensor or was it the MAF sensor I am thinking of?
