I think the burn cycle is negligent in terms of fuel economy. The easiest mods to increase economy is egr blank, freeflow exhaust and upping the boost. Other than that keep the car in good shape and service regularly. Even my poorer than standard economy is better than a petrol of similar size.

I think I might have uncovered my poor fuel consumption, except for slogging around too much stuff always in the car. I recently took it to Alan Black to have injectors and pump checked. They reported back that all seem good, except for the matter of a leak in the intercooler! I bumped the intercooler many moons ago when I still had the old bashplates on, and although slightly bent it still looked OK. Well apparently it is now truly stuffed so I ordered a new one. Getting it on Tuesday so hope it will make a marked difference. Very expensive but hopefully worth it.

I have considered the intercooler as well but as my CEL comes on if i space the wastegate more than 2mm i can safely assume that i get full boost but........ My intercooler is also bumped by the previous owner and with the nudgebar and bash plate i dont have very good airflow over the intercooler. Maybe i should remove the front plate that's not really protecting anything after i installed my big plate and see what happens.
Thanks for the idea
