My 2008 DiDc also threw an error code the other day... ASC light came on, then later the CEL light.

The car was slightly down on power - not a full limp mode, just slight.

I bought a R200 blue tooth OBD2 adapter and used an app on my phone to check the code: P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure low.

The is the "boost" sensor, that was shown previously in the thread. You get the same error if you unplug it.

I cleared the code, but it came back a while later. The ASC light comes on when the error first occurs, then if it persists, the CEL activates. I checked that the pipe from the intake to the sensor was not blocked up, but it was fine.

A few days later, I got a overboost error... which would be the sensor sending out a value that was too high - so just bogus values. The ECU doesn't like this, and put the car into full limp mode - can hardly drive! Luckily, if you unplug the sensor, then you can drive.

Fitted replacement from Mitsu ~ R2000.

Cant you get one from Mitsu? If not closer to you, how long will it take a courier to reach you from here in South Africa. It seems small enough to make freight cost reasonable?

PS have you tried cleaning your sensor? I seem to recall somewhere some success with cleaning that sensor or was it the MAF sensor I am thinking of?
Thanks cats for ur concern. I'll let u know if I can't get it from mitsu Dubai. Mitsu India sucks and they have poor support to the dealers. The dealer doesn't get any parts from mitsu.

Already tried cleaning both sensors but no luck

Thanks

No idea on your fault code. Very frustrating.

Have you tried to reset the system by disconnecting the battery for a half hour or so? Maybe the fault code is an old one? Maybe resetting will clear it.

Has the new maf sensors change anything on the driveability of the vehicle?

Might sound completely stupid but a guy once mentioned he had a CEL light come on and it turned out to be a faulty taillight fuse..Worth a shot just putting on all your lights at night and checking they are all fine, even indicators..
Have you have the EGR checked out yet..Intake might be sooted up

Yes tried disconnecting battery. But not for half an hour would try that too..

Now the problem is asc light comes on with the car skidding pic on top of it after driving sometime on each startup. Then the auto gearshifts becomes jerky. Once the cel comes on it can only be deleted via scanner.

The new maf sensors did no change to the driveability of the car I think that's y the Mitsubishi India says it could be faulty . Anyway I'm sending it back for a replacement . Dubai Mitsubishi said they would check it first and if faulty they would replace it ...

Yes all the lights are working

Egr all cleaned up...

Are you sure the vacuum pipe from the MAF sensor to the manifold is either blocked or split somewhere?

I read on the Ausie forum about that giving hassles in some cases leading to what they call limp mode.
