unfortunately all of the water did not drain back into the radiator and it was a little empty so had to blow the excess coolant in the expansion tank back into the radiator.

no coolant was lost.

did the return trip today and coolant rose about the same amount in the bottle again.

leaving it overnight to see if it will suck back overnight here in EL.

level was still above the full mark again this morning

hi guys
I have a 1998 v6 3.0 swb pajero
the radiator was extremely dirty,i flushed it a few times and the water came clear.
I replaced with coolant
when I drive for about 15mins the water from thr radiator pushes to the bottle.
the heat gauge is at the half mark,
any idea what could cause this?

Some possibilities:
1. Faulty radiator cap
2. Blown head gasket
3. Cracked head
