Hi

Yes I had a template that I made with wire and went to the place to show them what I want. They bent and made with me checking every now and then. Paid R1200 for the set that goes down and next to my original side step.

For the first time in many years I will not be traveling somewhere in my Pajero this Easter. I miss it already. Safe travels everyone.

Removed my Front Runner auxiliary diesel tank (+/- 49litre) from under Dusty.

1. I caught it a bit of a shot going to Kubu Island last year and it developed a slow leak. On that trip I was really cursing "these cheap firelighters that stink of diesel" until I realised from where the smell was emanating!
2. I am going to do an interior (3rd seating row) aluminium tank along the lines of Cloyd's. That way it will not reduce departure angle / ground clearance, which is a bit of an issue with the Front Runner design. Also allows me to go to 60litre and still space for e.g. second battery etc. in the remaining seat well space.

After I took the tank out and cleaned it I can see what look like two leaks. One is a short split in the bottom and one at a pinhole on a corner weld. That's the downside of stainless steel - even though I have it mounted on proper rubber vibration pads (unlike the vehicle outfitters who just tighten everything up and allow to vibrate to pieces).
