Hi all, I'm new to the Mitsu owners ( having had a few Fortuners in the past ) and recently bought a PS 2.5 Auto 2014. So far so good and I'm quite happy with my choice thus far.

I have however two questions which I hope you guys and help me with :

1 - Which Mitsu dealership in CTN would be the best to use for servicing... I'm in The northern suburbs so it pretty much between Paarden Eiland and Kuilsrivier... Which one ???

2 - When cruising at 120-130 or so it feels like something is switching on/off causing the engine to labour a bit for a few seconds and then back to normal again ( feels similair to aircon switching on/off ). I came across a post where they guys say it is the autobox slipping in/out of overdrive.... Is this correct. Surely it should not have such a noticeable on/off almost "jerk".... It's quite annoying over long distances. Does this sound normal or should I have it looked at.

Car is obviously still under warranty with about 40k km on the clock.

Any feedback greatly appreciated!!

Regards

Charl

I've only heard good things about Paarden Eiland, maybe the CT dwellers can confirm this.

Hi Guys,

I. would really appreciate some good advice. I need to have a top job done on my Pajero 3.8 as I'm planning a overland trip.

I have always used Mispro but heard some unsettling feedback on the forum. I have tried to phone Henk from Paj Maintenance, left two messages, sent an sms but no joy.

Is Mispro as good as it gets? Is there alternatives. Thanks for taking time to look at my post

Hi Zapiture

I service my 3.2DiD with 317,000kms at Mitspro and have no complaints. Prices are reasonable and the staff knowledgeable. I would much rather make use of them than a Mitsu dealer.

My 2 cents.

I have had most of my service and repair work done by RNS Motors in Pietermaritzburg. Haydn is extremely knowledgeable around Pajero's and has more than met my expectations. His contact number is 082-821-3040 and his business is located at 6 Thrash St. in Pietermaritzburg. I would definitely recommend RNS to any folks in the KZN Midlands.

Hello guys

Can someone please recommend a good Pajero service centre [non-dealership] in the Nelspruit area?
I am nearing the end of my warrantee and need to look for a RMI registered workshop.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Dankie
Nelius

As a person who buys and sells Mitsubishi vehicles I have used Malcolme from Malcolm's Auto Clinic in Killarney Gardens. He was the chief technician at Mitsubishi for many years and has been on his own for years now. There is nothing he does not know about the product and he only uses parts from Mitsubishi unless you tell him otherwise. His labour rate is where you save a fortune and there are none of the big dealers add on's at the end of the invoice which can add up to a good few Rand. He has all the special tooling as well and is really a person that knows his Mitsubishi vehicles. All the vehicles I sell go to him first for a full inspection and a service before I deliver them. The clients I sell to I also give his particulars to so they can use him, and I always get a very good feed back from them after they have used Malcolme. He is in Lauda Street , Killarney Gardens. Take the second entrance opposite the main gate to the track, go into Killarney Gardens, first road left, go till T - junction and turn right, the third building on the right side of the road. Always Mitsubishi vehicles standing outside. His number is 084 255 5788 Malcholme Phiffer. If you want to use him, just mention my name and he will give you my labour rates, it all helps at the end of the day.

As far as trim work goes I use Rowen from R A Trimmers in Goodwood. The fairest pricing and a job you cannot tell has been repaired. Leather work is tops, if you want the seats simply recoloured or panels completely replaced in leather or cloth he is the man. Contact details are 021 591 7692. Rowen.

Paint work is Damas Body Works in Goodwood. His colour matching and quality of work is of the highest quality. Used him for many years. Approved with all the insurance firms and many different manufactures. Work is done within a short time and always done first time correctly. Very professional set up. It would have to be to be on all the insurance panels. Call Damas direct on 021 592 7399.

At any of the above places just mention my name as it will help with the pricing. they all know me as Wayne with the Orange Pajeros, for some reason ha ha

Just by the way, the info on J J Smit is incorrect. He is based at Imperial Mitsubishi Paarden Eiland and has been for a few years. He was at Tygervalley but they are no more. contact details 021 506 2777, he knows me very well, so does his co worker Eric in serving dept, also very helpful.

This thread was suggested by Anton.

Here you can give a breakdown (excuse the pun) of who you had good service from, and contact details (please no email addresses). Also indicate why you think it is good service. This is restricted to vehicle related services and fitment centres. This is not the place to lodge complaints. perhaps this could be a format of awarding a POCSA workshop of the year...

Hopefully this well help rather than having loads of questions as to whom to contact.

The format should be:

PROVINCE:
METRO AREA (If Any):
DEALER / WORKSHOP NAME:
CONTACT PERSON:
CONTACT DETAILS:
SERVICE RENDERED:
SERVICE SMILEYS (Out of 3, 1 being good, 3 being beyond reasonable): :D :D :D
