My 2000 pajero GLS 3.3 did had white smoke coming out of the exhause when I stopped for fuel on my way to Namibia from CT. The owner/mechanic of the garage told me it was a blown top gasket or crack cylinder head. He added holts wonder weld and I had to return to CT. Travelled 400km with no further smoking or heating problems at 100 kph. Can anyone please advice on what I can do to rectify problem. I am living in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. Can you recommend a good pajero mechanic or workshop.

do you have milky sludge in your oil?
do you have oil in the water?
are you losing water?

best diagnosis is a compression test and oil analysis and exhaust analysis.

don't spend money until you are certain what it is.
