Hi
I am in the market for a suitable roofrack for my 1997 Pajero 3.5 V6 LWB (Preferably second hand). I have read some adverts from guys selling roofracks and am wondering if a roofrack from a similar type/size SUV (ie Prado, etc, etc) would fit onto the Pajero only by using Pajero compattible struts/pillars (gutter type off course). Can anyone advise me on this, pse?
George,
If you have the std roof rails, one can get roof rack adaptors and pretty any roof rack will fit if it is wide enough. I personally would like going the whole hog and having permanent rails fitted as I beleive this to be more reliable. This all depends on where you going and how often.
CATS for eg has his roof rack fitted to the std rails.

1997?
That's a Gen2?
They still had good old-fashioned gutters, which make for more options.
Unless the RR is fitted with longitudinal rails (such as the old FrontRunners), you should be able to fit a variety of RRs.
