Isuzu 4x4 challenge on SS2

Postby 4ePikanini » Wed Jul 28, 2010 7:35 pm

Just saw the show on SuperSport 2 and that Isuzu 300TD was bloody impressive!

The old box shape colt 3.0 v6 and the clubcab colt also performed well where the toyota hilux box shape failed.

If its the same show i saw last night then I hope the driver of the Gen 4 isnt a member here, damn that was some dodgy driving...

Although the Landys were the recovery vehicles, didnt actually see them do the obstacles...lol

Kai

Did you take part in the Isuzu Challenge? I thought it was only the Reg Raid stuff?

Kai

Do you know when it will be on again? Would love to see a POCSA member on TV. Perhaps even see if we can get it on youtube... (which I doubt)

I have asked people to look and see if there will be a repeat. Will also ask on the community.

Hi Kai,

When channel hopping (that thing that drives SWAMBO wild!) - I caught the middle of the programme, just in time to see a white Gen 4 tackle a muddy bank - the Paj had to fight for traction (as did others) and got over the bank but slewed to the right into the tree/bush line - obviously got stuck because a red Landy had to pull it out.

If that rings bells then it was you!

Cheers

It was me..... I jsut wish it wasnt a Landy that had to pull me.

Interestingly, it was only the vehicles with traction control that slid like that. I dont know if they showed both of my attempts to get up there, but the first was better, though I didnt make it up, without traction controll. I decided second time round to leave traction controll on :(

Oh Well.
