Hi,

Does anyone have info on the border crossing from Victoria Falls to Livingstone?

Previously, I crossed at Kazungula and it is now very expensive, all works out plus minus R2500.

Wilfred

There is two places to cross when in Kasane
I think you have used the very busy Ferry crossing at Gazungula.
We entered through Gazungula road border where there was only a few other locals and us
We paid +_ R1500 for 8 persons including road tax, carbon tax ect
Four sat in the rear compartment with enough pillows
Do not state you are driving a "COMBI" , or "Mini Van"......... you are driving a SUV or a sedan. That will save you a lot
Yo also have to state number of passengers (They ask seats)
We visited Vic falls for the day from Toro Lodge in Kasane(Camping). The road to vic falls is +_ 70 Km and very nice.

Border crossing at Kazungula ferry into Zambia can be used to Livinstone (Beware of Fraudsters at the border trying to sell fake road taxes
Buy inside border office
We however turned around to enter through Zimbabwe (+_ 5 min )
From Vic Falls to livingstone you have to cross the bridge at Vic fall otherwise you will have to enter at Chiundu border post into Zambia (A days drive on its own) Not a obtion unless you want to visit The National parks in the North of Zimbabwe like Mana Pools in the Zambezi Escarpment

I see this thread is old. Is there anyone that have more current info on the border crossing and prices from Livingstone to Vic Falls. Planning to return that way from Malawi in June/July.
