Recently lost the mechanic who worked on my Pajero in the past. His work and workshop has gone backwards and I need somebody new in Cape Town. Any one know of someone, please let me know on the forum or email me the details at
gerald.randall@vodamail.co.za
Thanks.

Thanks Anton
I looked at the list, but much of it seems to be workshops which work on all types of vehicles. I would like to find someone who specialises in Pajero. I find it interesting that there does not seem to be one in CT. The Land Rover and Land Cruiser drivers have a couple of workshops who sepcialise in the brands. Maybe something to find and/or set up for Pajero drivers. I have been referred to Zone in Paardeneiland or Pieter De Lange in Bellville/Parow. If I cannot find anyone, I will try Pieter and give feedback afterwards on this site.

I would defnately recommend ANG Service Center. Taken my Gen 3 PJ LWB there the past two years and no issues. I even phoned Alan after hours asking one or two things and he gladly helped me.

Other than dealers you won't find any mechie who specialises in Pajero, and in fact almost ALL so co-called specialists are nothing of the sort (unless they happen to be Alfa's or Sports Cars), at least in Cape Town.
I have referred many people to Alan @ ANG. He has disappointed no-one.

How does one define a specialist?
There is only one requirement in my book to qualify as a specialist: RELIABILITY.
I'll happily take my car to a Nissan garage, if I trust the workshop manager and can communicate with him. Which is what is happening with the one Toyota and two Fords that are run by my wife and daughters. My Pajero is still under maint plan, but he looked after my Pajeros in the days before maint plans.
Mits can run a diagnostic if required and the reliable independant can do the work.

Agreed. And some of these independents have the latest computer technology and is totally able to do the diagnostics.

Got my baby back yesterday from Alan at ANG after major head recon on V6 3500 and the man did what he promised.
