Alrighty, where to start. lol. I guess I can say we had an absolute blast. everyone left with something broken or dented it seemed..

I banged up my pass. side door sill quiet badly as the whole truck was resting on it stopping it form rolling over
Phil backed into a tree and crushed a door panel :(
Ron had a busted hub

ohnoes!!

The track starts off quite fun. everyone having a great time:

Then we end up trying a little more tougher tracks, I Finally made it to the top witha 50mm lift. so did phil in his landy

Then I found a very deep hole to play in. leaned right into the bank one way, then picked a wheel right up. I decided against it as I was getting close to putting the body against the sand and didnt want any damage along the body where it is noticable.

We even had another MK1 out!! diesel..

The next challenge, we both got stuck. and had to be snatched out. he made it without damage, I on the otherhand had the whole wagon sitting on the sill to stop from rolling.. OOPS..

My go: I started perfect then when the front wheel dipped in I didnt have enough speed and the ass end slid in upon trying to take a better line. then from there as we tried to recover it kept tipping more and more.

And the damage, at least it is a steel body so I will cut it out and reweld some new plates in. nothing to serious.

Hi Cruisn06

Why don't you consider rock sliders.....they would have taken the brunt, and been much easier to replace.
I'm in the process of having made for both my Padj's. I think of it as cheap-at-the-price insurance........probably not even covered under standard insurance !!

Hope the repairs go through without hassles.

its funny you mention that. I am going to build some myself, as I have already built a rear bumper. it was on the to do list. that was whoops moment.. lol. was not supposed to happen.

I am going to go right from the bullbar for a brush gaurd/rock slider combo.

I am waiting for my work visa to be approved so I am not working at my normal shop with the pipe bender...

Hi Cruisn06

You're very fortunate to be handy with the metalwork needed.... the job will probably be done better..AND CHEAPER, than at a 4x4 workshop :D
