i tried to understand a few things about oil, and got into hurricane of information, and reviews, and still, i want the best, but i dont know what to choose.
but ifil need to choose 1, il go wih Purple Royal oil, it's seems the best, but i have no XP with it, so again and again, i come to you.
what is the best-top-notch oil for my engine\climate?
thank you in advance, all the best to you.
A fellow member (mimmo) here has done nearly 700'000km on his 3.2 without failure or opening the engine on delo400 oil. That says enough for me.

For the last 40,000 Km have been using Shell Helix HD7 (Fully Synthetic) Very Happyn0mad wrote:i tried to understand a few things about oil, and got into hurricane of information, and reviews, and still, i want the best, but i dont know what to choose.

approx 10.5 to 11 liters per 100km.........

Got hold of some Delo 400 today, will put it in the Pajero from now on. Only 2 places to buy it here in the Lowveld apparently - Midas Nelspruit next to Autozone and Midas Malelane (for those local guys looking to buy) @ R213/5L.
I just serviced my 3.2DID and used Delo 400.
Firstly, the bottles I bought holds more than 5L each (more like 5,5L) which may be the reason why the dealers keep on overfilling it during a service.
Secondly. when I was pouring out the last 1L, the oil looked murky and cloudy. AFAIK it is not necessary to shake oil before use, or is it? Is this murkiness ok?

I have also seen milky stuff in delo 400. I suspect it's their extra additives that make the oil so good.
Yours look dark though. I have never seen dark delo .....

I bought it at Midas, the oil in both jugs were that darkish color.
