Beating Depression at Four Peaks with MORE PIX!

Lately I have been suffering from extreme emotional exhaustion. Last Saturday my wife got involved in a situation where the police came by while I was at work and took my .45 after she threatened to end her life as she felt so useless. I haven’t been making her life easier, as I have had to work more or less every day from the time I get up, to the time I get home when I have to sleep immediately. Well I took most of last week off, encouraged her to spend time with her friends, taught her how to play cricket, and taken her to several movies, but I have not had a chance to relax. The police returned my weapon which now has to be locked in a secret location where she can’t access it, and I have tried to sleep, but I have found nothing cathartic enough to replenish my soul.
So on Saturday, with my wife with her friend at the Phoenix Zoo, I drove off into the Four Peaks Wilderness again, but this time alone. I took two gallons of water, a bag of fried chicken, and my camera.. my friend Tri called before I left Mesa and begged me to come back and get her, even offered money for petrol, and indeed she would have been useful as she can take pictures, but I knew that this needed to be a solo trip.
