Hi can any forum member please help me with an aircon pump/compressor for my Pajero. Its a 2000 model and I don't want to import the part from Japan for obvious cost reasons.

There are 2 different pumps for your model. Make sure which one it is, and either contact Mac's refrigeration or order via ebay.

Remember that if you are replacing due to a failed compressor you will preferably need to change the orifice tube, dryer and condensor, possibly the evaporator and have a flush done. The whole exercise can cost easily over R10k but do it once and you know it will last many years. Cut corners and it will cost more down the line.

Thanks Marius, appreciate the advice. Is there a reputable Pajero mechanic in Guateng that can repair this for me. I have been unable to source a pump as I cannot determine the exact model number in my vehicle.

I would appreciate any forum input wrt the repair of this aircon pump
