Freeflow Exhaust + K@N Filter
Hi Guys,

Hope you all are having fun somewhere :D Regarding fitting a less restrictive exhaust, and maybe a replacement K@N Filter as an option to improve fuel consumption? I know this will increase performance - and maybe consumption on the open road at say 130km/h? Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Re: Freeflow Exhaust + K@N Filter
I would think twice before fiddling with the standard paper filter, This is not a boy racer and those after market filters only serve to stop stones and bricks and does not protect the engine in our application. The only cold air intake on a 4x4 is a snorkel

I have a 57mm free-flow and K&N replacement air filter.

The Pajero sounds much nicer than standard and pulls better, but for fuel saving only one thing can alter the outcome:

Your RIGHT FOOT.

I did however average 8 km/l on the open road to and around the west coast (110 km/h average speed).

Around town it's still about 6,5 km/l.

Nico.
