Hi Colin

Wow! Thank you for sharing the photos, every step of the way, because it could not easy. Nino62 and I did our MAF recently and got so involved and forgot about the photos

Regarding replacing the valve stem seals, could it really only have cost R540 notwithstanding you did it yourself? What did all 24 valve stem seals cost you? +++

I am in Cape Town and would not only like to borrow the special bar you offered but you to guide me thru a process like that. So what you think? Is it possible to teach a wannabe repairer.

Congratulations on your meticulous of cleaning and step by step sequence manner of dis/assembling. Really a masterful act man!

Regards

Aslam

Hi Aslam

Please see attached invoice from Alert full gasket set includes all valve stem seals at R520.00 half a meter of heater hose at Midas is R20.00 =R540.00 I never paid for the welding on the exhaust manifold as my mate did it and he does not think it will last so he never charged me.

If you are going to do yours with the heads on as you might be able to do with the single cam engine I have a set of 24 valve stem seals you can have for free they are Victor Reinz German make. You are most welcome to use the tool I made its a be crude but it does the job perfect.

Aslam if you live not too far from Table View I can pop in from time to time and NOT getting my hands dirty offer advice as needed

Regard
Colin
