Bora falls in the stable of Northwest parks board and is situated on the banks of the Klipvoor dam and Moretele river. The main attraction is the dam for its good fishing but the reserve also boasts with more than 350 bird species and a host of smaller mammals and rodents. Amongst the birds are 11 eagle and 18 smaller raptors and I have personally seen rarities such as african finfoot and snake eagles and on the mammal side brown hyena and leopard.
Unfortunately the ablution facilities leave a lot to be desired and it could be best described as primitive. roads in the park is generally in good nick and accessible to normal sedan cars

HI the park is about 2 hours away from pretoria east but its only 133 km ,just a very slow drive on all the raural roads. the camping area is very nice and clean and big (we where 5 tents ). i dont know about water quality for drinking we took ower own but the bathroom facilities are good and clean even "hot " water (GAS donky) for a shower ,all the bathroom facilities have been rebuild in the week when we got there so i dont know how long it will be like this .
Hope this helps
