Mitspro Service
This merely a thumbs up for Mitspro Freek and Freek Jnr.
After having a discussion with them regarding the oil pump change they sugested that I take out the motor as it is already stripped bare with heads removal. They incidently refurbished my heads as well.
So they are coming to my house in Secunda to remove motor, take to their workshop and do oil pump, bearings and new rings and hone block- not machine as the sleeves are still in good condition here.
Put everthing back on complete fitment of all parts -install motor again and tune at my house for R8000,00.
So I opted for that service rather to try and get the vehicle in Pretoria which would have been a shlep for me.
Hopefully my car will be ready for action in probably three weeks.
Regards

Have you received your vehicle back?
I managed to put a conrod through the Pajero engine blok. Towed the vehicle to Freek after a initial quote in April 2011, paid R10K deposit in June 2011. Still waiting for the vehicle to be delivered. No response from a lawyer's letter in September 2011. Now "Beeld tot U diens" was approached received a call yesterday vehicle will be ready om Monday. :?:

Re: Mitspro Service
Well well well.....

I tried sitting on my hands but can no longer.....

I picked up problems with my Jerry and after some phone calls it was towed to say "specialist". Said dirty diesel buggered up my diesel pump and after 4 week it was said that the pump was fixed and I can collect my vehicle. R24000 later got my car and on my way back home (with out filling up or stopping along the way) just before Meyerton (68km from said "specialist" the car acts up again. I phoned said "specialist" and they came to fetch the car again there where I was stranded along the highway.

This time it took 5 weeks and it was said that shavings entered the diesel pump again (because of the dirty diesel that I poured into my tank before I took it to him and thus, I am responsible for the second breakdown again). Said "specialist, after inquiring how dirty diesel can still be my tank, said the only siphoned as much diesel out of my tank as they could and then just added new diesel to dilute. After inquiring why they did not remove the tank, flushed and cleaned it together with the whole fuel system, he answered that he never did or had to do it in the past.... (still do not know how shavings can pass through the diesel filter either....)

Any how, this time it would only cost me R13000. I refused to pay as I don't see how I can be held responsible for the second breakdown. (If he kept my car a day longer and drove around with it and it broke down with him, my quote would have probably jumped with said amount) and said "specialist" refused to release my vehicle. No warranty or guaranty to fall back on because I was the one that poured "dirty diesel" into my tank.

(Oh and just for afterthought, almost 1600km was clocked on the Jerry in the time it was at said "specialist"....)

I therefor are also taking legal action

P.S - Maybe I am at fault, would be interesting to hear who else thinks so.....

Re: Mitspro Service
It is strange to read about Nodger's and Daizy's experience they had with Mitspro.

Will we ever hear the story from the other side?

Re: Mitspro Service
mmmm. If the story is true I would go legal.

Not to stir but there's always 3 sides to a story. Yours, theirs and the truth. We know what they say about assumption's mother....

Wll Well looks like we are all in the same boat. I am still waiting for my car seven weeks and counting. Not my car but just the engine. I am also going legal now because I am also tired of promises and more promises. I have phoned one too many times already. The latest is that they now offered to come and fetch the vehicle and all I must do pay the fuel cost .
I am refusing as the origanal agreement was the come out - remove motor- re install - start do a small test of Co settings . So now they want to fetch the vehicle for what :?: I have already agreed to pay a sum for them to come and remove and bring back.
Wiil post more a little bit later must run now.

Re: Mitspro Service
To expand on my previous post. Last week I phoned Mitspro again and spoke to Jnr and he assured me that the motor will be fitted before week-end. It is now week- end over and no phone call or any arrangements.
So tomorrow I am off to a surprise visit to see the status of where the process is with assembly.
So sad to say after much hipe about service I am now a big sceptic of what is within their limits and what not.
To say that their knowledge of Pajeros might be good to excellent maybe not be lie but behold- promises made not kept and I do not stand for bull----it and hate people lying to me .
So yes I am a very p--------d off person now and I do not think it is due to my own fault here or anything that was my cause. I merely reacted on what was told and promissed to me and accepted that.
I think the biggest mistake on my part was to not put a deadline on repair as I told them I am not in a big hurry as it is not a essential second vehicle but still seven weeks :!:
I am not going to accept any part of any excuse for the delay nor will I accept any blame in any form.

Re: Mitspro Service
Goodluck Paw-Paw,
as the story goes, Freek Snr is apparently in Botswana and Jnr... well he's just Jnr...
Re: Mitspro Service
I suggest that Simon (as head honcho) contact Mitspro and make them aware of this thread.
They will then have the opportunity to put their side of the case.

I do not think any of our problems with Mitspro will be solved on the forum. And I dont think he (they) will respond truthfully on what has been said here. He (they) can just not be trusted.

I however think that people should take note that Mitspro does not have a unblemished report card, and should be very weary going into business with them. He (they) can just not be trusted.

One thing is for sure, Freek lost one costomer and if I can help, will lose every potential one that asks where they should take their vehicle for repairs or services...

Oh and Paw by Paw... Did you visit them today?
