I am based in Maputo and don't want to "touch" my Pajero here...
Where best can I do service and maintenance in Mpumalanga - Nelspruit? Please direct also with any other Pajero related services around the same area.

I used to service my Pajero at the Mitsubishi dealers in Nelspruit, but stopped doing that - I was not all that happy with the quality of work. I now service it myself and take it to Mitspro in Pretoria for major services/work.

You can try Hi-Tech Engineering and/or Tommy Madden. I have heard good things of Hi-Tech, but have not used them myself.

Thanks again. I will post here the outputs of my first Pajero service experience in Mpumalanga. I am still tempted to go to Mitsubishi dealer for this first one. The car has come from Japan with no service history. Yesterday I had it pluged to a computer at AutoVIP Maputo and gave me no warnings or errors. The garage manager says the engine is in good conditions.
Today I will take it to the Inspection Station to check brake, suspension, direction, fuel consumption etc.
Hope to have the same positive feedback.
That will obviously help me to know what the priorities are when servicing in Nelspruit.

Am I doing the right thing here?...

It is up to you - maybe take it to the dealers for the first time while scoping out the other service centers.

Got it out today from the local garage where I made the computer scanning.
After driving it for about 30 min I have noticed the temperature gauge going up to max temperature. Then oscillating between max and middle...
The engine works normal but it shows 4.5 km / l !!
Also when start the cooling it gives a strange sound (like a fan propeller touching the frame ...)
The engine gets indeed very hot...
It looks like the radiator has got coolant inside.

What can this be and what do u advice me to do?
Please help! I planned the service in Nelspruit (250Km from Maputo) and don't know if I should take a chance to get to the dealer with the car in this state or try to do something in Maputo.

Hi Senache have you solved your problem? im about to take delivery of a 4M40 engined Paj and living in Maputo i know how tough things can be. i was planning to drop it at MITSPRO due to their reputation twice a year for maintenance but if we can get a place here in maputo or mpumalanga it would be super.

Hi there, is it for repairs or servicing you want to bring to Nelspuit. The problem with smaller dealers or garages is that they not always have the right equimpment to test and check (dignose). There is a garage in Riverside Industrial, who serviced my Pajero and did minor work, it worked out not that bad.
The problem comes in when you have a real problem on your vehicle its mostly a shot in the dark these smaller workshops take. It becomes expensive, just like it would be at the Dealers. Mostly people dont want to reapir stuff they rather want to just add new stuff, and later you still sit with the same problem, but with a hole in your wallet. The gargage i mentioned is: Next to Fitenessworld on the corner of Rapid and Waterfall street, Riverside Industrial.

Otherwise i suggets if it is for servicing diy is the easiest and cheapest.

but how hard are the services? for instance im fearing the dreaded 200k service. im not a technical guy (lawyer) but i have auto electrician and mechanic friends. my other worry is when it comes to parts. our market has been flooded with pirate parts supplied by imigrants from the great lakes. i have had my CRV hurt with these parts... Can you recommend a good parts seller in mpumalanga?
