Temperature gauge on 1998 3.0l V6 Pajero
I blew a head gasket on my way home from the Kgalagadi park in the Kalahari. I lost all the water in the radiator yet the temperature indicator showed normal. Is this a design fault as the temp. gauge seems to be working. If it is a design fault is there a better way of monitoring the temparature?

Thanks,

Mannie.

The sender unit is designed to read water temperature.
If there isn't any water present it won't read anything.
Your best bet is to fit a water level sensor.
It will detect when the water level drops.
