Please forgive me
if this has been asked before but I've just registered.
I have a 3.5 SWB and have beed advised to have the cat converter removed, please can you tell me who/where would be the best place have it removed, in the Cresta/Northcliff areas?
Thank you for accepting me as a member!!!
Looking forward to chatting with fellow Pajero members....

Hello there
Same post as "Wild Child", I am new here, and I have the same question: how to remove catalytic converter from a 1997 3.5 V6? Is it armless? Any special electrical/electronic issue (someone told le to put a resistance somewhere to compensate the useless sensor).
yr advises will most appreciated from Uganda, where I leave.
Greetings, Phil

Wow! Nobody is responding and you must think we are a lot of guys not worrying about members. Wrong!
Any reputable exhaust shop will be able to help you removing the cat and replace it with a straight pipe or a freeflow box. Its your choice. There are no hassles. Just do it!

I wasn't aware that they fitted cats to SA supplied pre-2000 Pajero's.

I'm also considering it after my motor plan runs out...
not sure of the places in JHB north, but I'm also looking.
So far I just know of SAC in Midrand in terms of specialists. Then there are lots of exhaust places I'm sure that would do it as well...
I know of a great panel beater in Krugersdorp that I use for everything, and he said he would also do it for me.
but while taking out the cat, why not put in a freeflow?
