Training: GPS Training – A MUST DO COURSE!!!!! LAST COURSE OF THE YEAR!!!
Date: Saturday 14 November 2009 – Course with basic practice
Sunday 15 November 2009 (extended practical) – 4 hours from 08h30 – 12h30
Time: 08h30 – 16h30
Area: Centurion, Gauteng
Venue: Boltons GPS Warehouse, 107 Witstinkhout Street, Hennops Park
Grading: Theory & Practical
Target Activity:
GPS Software introduction and usage including Mapsource, Tracks 4 Africa, Google Earth etc.
Theory & Practical training in GPS Technology & Usage covering:
Satellite Navigation theory
Faults and error in the system and problem areas
Datums, Projections, Co-ordinate systems (Includes practical)
GPS screens
GPS menus
Configuration of your GPS
Practical route (GoTo's, Routes and BackTrak)
Etc.
Includes 35 page manual & 1:50 000 map
If you do not have a GPS one will be provided – please just indicate such
Lecturer is the navigation guru in the Gauteng industry – Kevin Bolton
Bring: Notebook & Pen. Bring LAPTOP with software for Software component.
Cost: R1000 per person, both days
Includes welcoming coffee / tea, a light lunch and liquid refreshment
Minimum 8 candidates to host course, this year MAXIMUM 15 people per course. First come, first served. Payment only assures attendance!
